It's Easter Holiday once again and we are celebrating the one of the major cardinals of the Christian faith - The Crucifixion and Resurrection  of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Despite the fact that a few persons believe that the exact dates are not followed, we are just fine bringing the events to remembrance around this time of the year. The main purpose of this article however, is to highlight the reasons why the day Jesus was crucified is called GOOD FRIDAY . Let me quickly give you a little background into the reason Jesus came to die and why His death was ' good ' for all mankind. WHO IS JESUS? Jesus is the Son of the living God sent to this world to reconcile man to his Creator. If there is one thing I would remember about my present boss long after we part, it is the line he repeats nearly every day during staff meetings. It goes thus; " PREPARATION  is the foundation of PARTICIPATION , participation is the mother of EXPECTATION  and expectation is the mother of CELEBRATION ". It took me awhile to grasp the words but as soon as I did, I realised it contains a deep mine of wisdom especially for the younger ones. Many young people today blame their misfortune on the fact that no one is kind enough to help them attain their desired goal in life. They blame the government, their parents, poverty and so on but never seem to see their own fault. The truth is we don't live in a perfect world so it's useless throwing a pity party about your situation instead of seeking for ways of making your life better. Hey Dearies,  Welcome to my first blog post! Let me first introduce myself to those who may not know me. I'm Ariyo Oluseyi, I live in Port Harcourt city Nigeria. I am a Civil Engineer turned teacher and hey, I love my job (smiles). I'm currently trying my hands on blogging just to put my writing skills to use after a really longgg time.
